SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS

Great social transformations begin with public awareness and engagement.
Each of us has a role to play and a chance for leadership.

When possible, travel. There is no substitute for seeing extreme poverty.
There is no substitute for meeting and engaging with people across cultures, religions, and regions
to realize that we are all in this together.

Our generation's greatest challenges,
in environment, demography, poverty, and global politics,
is also our most exciting opportunity.

Ours is the generation that can end extreme poverty.

Most of all we will need to subdue our fears and cynicism.
For in the final analysis, our most basic common links is that we all inhabit this small planet.
We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's futures. We are all mortal.

Why have we not reached our solutions yet?
In part, paralysis reigns.
